Luton and Dunstable University Hospital is an acute hospital in Luton, Bedfordshire. It is part of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and delivers medical and surgical services to more than 350,000 people across southern Bedfordshire, north Hertfordshire, and parts of Buckinghamshire.

The Integrated Care Board plans and oversees NHS service delivery to meet strategic aims, improve population health, and decide how funding and resources are distributed fairly and effectively across local systems and communities.

The Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation has impacted thousands of lives over its 20-year history, and we couldn’t have done it without the many individuals and funders who support our causes, initiatives, and campaigns. Our work is vital for transforming communities across Bedfordshire and Luton, whether it is addressing food, fuel and digital poverty, mental health and inequality or combating isolation

The Institute for Health Research (IHR), founded in 1994, is a centre of excellence in research. The primary aims of the IHR are to:

Engage in collaborative research locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Create research partnerships with purchasers and providers of health care, with the professions, industry and the independent sector.
Promote and co-ordinate health-related research across the University.
Enhance research skills in the community through the provision of quality educational programmes.
